Arrive in Naples and head to your hotel. If time allows, enjoy a relaxed evening along the lungomare before your week on the water begins.
Optional: Enjoy this iconic chapel built in the late 1500s, a gem of Italian artistic heritage. It was greatly influenced by the famous Raimondo de Sangro VII, Prince of Sansevero, a genius of science and invention.
There are so many excellent pizzerias in Naples, but you might start with Gino e Toto Sorbillo.
If sea conditions allow, we’ll pause at Laurito Cove, a quiet, cliff-backed inlet just outside Positano. It’s an ideal spot for a refreshing swim and snorkel in clear water—an easy, scenic break before continuing along the coast.
For beach time, Chiaiolella is a favorite. End the day in the postcard-perfect Marina di Corricella before dinner.
Your crew can help arrange a visit to Castello Aragonese perched high on the rocks, or a stop at the Gardens of La Mortella.
For a classic local dish, many travelers seek out coniglio all'ischitana (Ischia-style rabbit) at a traditional trattoria.
If conditions allow, we’ll stop for a swim near Marina Grande, Positano’s iconic waterfront. Take in the postcard views of pastel houses rising above the harbor as you cool off in the bay—an unforgettable Amalfi Coast moment before continuing the sail.
If sea conditions and timing allow, you can visit Capri’s famous Blue Grotto, where sunlight filters through an underwater opening and turns the cavern an electric, glowing blue. Access is by small rowboat, and waits can vary, so we’ll treat it as an optional add-on depending on the day’s conditions and schedule.
Capri is a foodie stop as well - think fresh caprese flavors, citrus, and an easy pace that feels distinctly 'dolce vita'.
If time allows, step into the Amalfi Paper Museum for a quick look at one of the town’s oldest traditions. Set inside a historic paper mill, the museum highlights Amalfi’s centuries-old craft of handmade paper—an easy, interesting stop that adds a bit of local history between exploring the lanes and enjoying the cathedral piazza.

Step back nearly 2,000 years as you explore Pompeii with a licensed guide, walking ancient stone streets frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. A typical visit includes the Forum, bath complexes, theater areas, and remarkably preserved homes with frescoes and courtyards that reveal daily Roman life—bakeries, shops, and public squares included. When available, you’ll also see the famous plaster casts of victims, a powerful reminder of the city’s final day, before continuing onward.
We’ll visit the Spanish Steps, Rome’s iconic staircase in Piazza di Spagna, for classic photos and a great introduction to the city’s lively streets and atmosphere.
We’ll stop at the Trevi Fountain, Rome’s most famous Baroque fountain, to admire its dramatic sculpture and—if you’d like—toss a coin for good luck before continuing our walk through the historic center.
We’ll visit the Pantheon, one of Rome’s best-preserved ancient monuments, and step inside to see its soaring dome and open oculus—an unforgettable glimpse of Roman engineering in the heart of the city.
We’ll stroll through Piazza Navona, one of Rome’s most beautiful squares, known for its fountains, street artists, and lively café atmosphere—an ideal stop for photos and a quick gelato break.
We’ll tour the Colosseum with a licensed guide, stepping inside Rome’s most iconic arena to hear the stories of gladiators, emperors, and the spectacles that once filled its seats.
We’ll walk through the Roman Forum, the heart of ancient Rome, where temples, arches, and public buildings once framed daily life and politics—bringing the story of the empire into sharp focus.
We’ll visit the Sistine Chapel as part of the Vatican Museums tour to see Michelangelo’s legendary ceiling and The Last Judgment—one of the most unforgettable art moments in Italy.
Guests who conclude with Rome will be taken to the airport for their departure. Everyone else will continue with the journey.
Travel to Florence and check into a centrally located hotel. Enjoy an introductory walk through the historic center: the Duomo area, Piazza della Signoria, and the Ponte Vecchio.
We’ll visit Florence’s Duomo, standing beneath its iconic dome for a closer look at the cathedral’s stunning façade and the skyline-defining masterpiece that symbolizes the city.
